Good Config

I am planning to buy a laptop with these specs

8 GB DDR3 1333 Mhz
Core i7 740 QM
1 TB 7200 RPM HDD
1 GB ATI Graphics

Is these specs enough to handle complex applications and future applications/programs?

For a laptop, no scratch that, for any computer, those specs are pretty darn good.
