Low Experience Index processor score...

Hi folks! I'm new to the forums and I tried searching around a bit for this with no luck. Right now I have a Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor. Win7 is giving me an Experience Index rating of 3.7. Everything else, besides my hdd (giving it a 5.9 even though its 7200 rpm w/ 32mb cache.), is over 6.0. In Vista I'm getting 5.9 for everything. Is this a bug that anyone knows about?

There are reports that certain AMD processors have been installed in mobos not designed to support the particular CPU. A 125 watt CPU in a board designed for 89 watts.

BIOS may need adjusting otherwise.

Please post detailed system specs.

I totally forgot I posted this here. I figured it out. Pretty much just needed a firmware update so the correct driver(s) would be used. Works like a charm.....I solved this like 2 days after I posted. My apologies for not replying.

Its pretty easy. Just go to your motherboard manufacturer's webpage and go to any support tab and look for updated firmware and its specific for your motherboard model number. Then just follow the instructions. If you need any further assistance, just let me know.

You have to move to a solid state drive (SSD) to get higher scores on your hard drive. That drive is a slowpoke by what's technically now available out there.

why buy ssd right now? its too much for too little, imo. even if you buy just a 20 gig, you're still putting the majority of your stuff on a hdd. so you're still depending on the seek times of those drives.
