Solved External Hard Drive name and icon doesn't change

I have a Toshiba EHD 300GB.. When I first connected it, it had its own unique icon.. I decided to format it and now it's icon is a plain white sheet with little squares .. I've tried doing the procedure in this link (Drive Icon Change - Vista Forums
Code:
) but it still didn't work. I'd love to show you what it looks like, but I don't know how to paste the image I captured.

I've tried renaming it, but that doesn't help. It doesn't even want to be renamed.

I was thinking if there's any other way we could return that unique icon it had and rename it other than the link I followed above.

My EHD works perfectly. I'm just bothered as to why I can't change the icon and its name. Thanks in advance for your advices..

You're most welcome Pax. Yeah, that little autorun.inf file will override the registry.

Just registered to thank you, Brink.

Had unzipped a Bluetooth Software Setup from Atheros inside my Backup Disk and the Icon and Name were "BTW" due to the autorun.inf and the BTW.ico. Deleted them and everything's back to normal.

Thank you very much!
