Hi, I use win live e mail. I just installed a hp4500 printer,no problem. My problem is, the printer does not recognize win live e mail,Seems it only will recognize OUTLOOK.? When I SCAN and want to send it to a e mail client, I have to attach it from a saved place? Making me go through extra motions. What are my options? besides changing back to OUTLOOK?Thanks,schlo

Ok this might help you, open your windows Live Mail account, go to options and go the screen in the Picture I have uploaded. You see where I have marked it yellow click on that box and then click on apply that should make it your default mail then and should resolve your problem.

You can always attach it as an extra step. Or should you have hotmail email service you can also download their email applixation. ReadIRIS needs to call the mail service of the default program in order for the image to be sent.

I went to the OCR provider & they say it cannot go from the printer directly to the e mail,with web base mail,,,thanks

The software works well with any TWAIN capable device so as long as it has the appropriate driver you can use the ReadIRIS 12 program with that AIO device. In regards to the email application, I have forward it your suggestion to our development team, hopefully they will patch it or develop something for this.
