    Kensington Expect Mouse

I am having a problem with my Kensington Expect Mouse ,track ball, working in my HP p2265f computer. I am running Win 7 Pro 64 bit. I have downloaded Kensington software, version 1.0.4, and after installing I try to open it and it locks up my system. Now when I go to Kensington web site they say their track ball, is Win 7 compatible so I figure I would have no problems. Now I have had this track ball, for a number of years and I am wondering if I need to buy a new one? Is anyone else having problems with their track ball? Does anyone have a fix?

I also want to ask you all. Below is the instructions on how to update my trackball on Win 7 and I have tried but still after installing the software my system locks up.
What I did was hook up my simple two button USB mouse and run the software and the reboot. I then remove the USB mouse and installed the USB trackball but it still will not working.
My question is am doing the installation correct or do I need to try a different way?

    Installation Instructions:
    • Download and run the installed EXE file.
    • Follow the onscreen instructions to install the driver.
    • Connect the trackball after the installer is complete.
