    HELP!!! acer aspire 5920g WLAN


    hello to everyone!!!!
    please help!!!
    i have acer aspire 5920g and from vista upgraded to windows 7 64bit ultimate.
    all the drivers i got from acer website work properly
    EXCEPT there is no driver for wlan!!!
    i tried drivers for vista 64 bit and xp 64bit but during the installation appears a message ''cannot continue with the operation system detected'' or something like that!!!!!!!!!!
    please help!!!!!!!!!

    Um, WLAN???? do you mean ethernet, or wifi?

    acer website does not have that driver because this driver is there with the installation disc...clearly it is mentioned that these are the drivers which are not included with windows7.

    Ensure you've downloaded the Vista 64-bit Driver for the Wireless LAN Card from the Acer Support site and that you've unzipped it somewhere before doing these next steps.

    Go to the Control Panel and into Device Manager. If the Wireless NIC shows up there (usually Ethernet Controller), double click on it, then click on the "Driver" tab and click on "Update Driver". Then click on "Browse my computer for driver software". After that, it will ask you to point to a folder. Point to the unzipped folder in the following directory: C:\Extracted Directory\Wireless_Intel_11.1.0.86_Vistax64\Wireless_Intel_11.1.0.86_Vistax64\Vista\Drivers

    C:\Extracted Directory represents where you would have put the extracted ZIP file that you had originally downloaded. After this, hit "Next" and see if it installs the driver. Let us know.
