sometimes my cam is not detected, unpluggin and plugging it back in doesnt help. if i plug it into a new usb port, it detects the camera, and installs drivers
.. and everything is ok for a while.
however, depending on how many times it happens, if you plug it into a port that it was previously detected in, it doesnt go throught he driver
installation, and programs cant see the cam. in that case i have to go to device manager - under universal serial bus controllers, delete the usb root hub, or composite device, relevant to the camera.
i just guess, because it would depend on the port i plug it into, and i dont know which is which.. ( having a usb mouse and keyboard in this situation can be a pain, as they will stop working during this process and i have to turn the power off
anyway.. once ive deleted it. i plug in the cam, reboot the puter, and it reinstalls the usb software and the camera drivers.
its a stinking microsoft life cam..
doesnt come with any drivers, just defaiult windows ones.
i havent had any probs for the past few weeks, but its just a matter of time..
say gday to your wife for me
