I have 3 win7 x64 computers & 8 xp computers on a 16 port hub going into a Linksys BEFSR41 router ( older model) with NO problems.

Here is how mine is connected.

Cable Modem cat5 ethernet cable to WAN port on Linksys BEFSR41 router
Cat5 ethernet cable out of UpLink port on BEFSR41 router (other 4 ports empty)
to port # 1 on 16 port hub all win7 computers (x64 & x32), Xp computers, win98 computer, & any other test computers wired into ports 2 thru 16 of the hub.

But if you have 4 or less computers you can use the 4 ports on the Linksys
