DVD drives displayed as cd drives in 'my computer'

I have a dvd writer and a dvd rom drive installed on my computer. in device manager, i can see the model name and manufacturer. but when i look under my computer, they are displayed as cd rom drives for some reason.

im able to burn dvds when im in a burning program like ashampoo. but i cant read any dvd with the dvd rom drive. the jumper settings were set as master and slave, so i changed them both to cable set and im still having the same issue.
