Fdisk is a DOS utility to (re) partition a drive and to rewrite the MBR (master boot record)
It is intended for drives with FAT/FAT32 Type partitions. Anyhow after repartitioning the only chance to get your data back would be to reconstruct the old partition tables (basically restore the drive to its current state) which doesn't get you anywhere.
Can you see the drive in Disk Management at all? If so, could you post a screenshot?
Just to confirm, when you tried this drive on a SATA connection, did you remove it from the case and connect a SATA cable and power cable to it? Also did it show up in the BIOS screen as detected and the correct size?

I have windows 7 sp1 and when i try to run an ms dos program found in c:\fir directory i get this error :

My system consists of 2 500 GB drives in RAID 1 and a 3rd 1 TB drive for storage and backup. All are SATA drives. System is about 6 months old. The 1 TB drive is about 1.5 years old and was used in my prior system, but had been reformatted and was working just fine in my new system up until now.
