Windows 7: Microsoft Lifecam vx-5500

Microsoft Lifecam vx-5500

I tried to install the lifecam software on computer 1, which works perfect.
then when i tried to install the webcam on another computer too, both with windows 7, i get this error



Anyone can help , both computer was installed lifecam directly downloaded from microsoft website, but it works on one computer not another one

Hi whitepanda!
As you can see it's a driver problem, first of all go to Device Manager (right click Computer icon, select Mange, select Device Manager) and check for ! mark (yellow color) if it's there click on it and remove driver, and try to install the driver again, is it just driver or the whole application?

A good idea

To expand on it a bit, check the 'Delete the driver software for this device' box as that will force Windows to completely re-install brand new drivers.
