    Various Issues

    Hi all

I am hoping that I can be assisted with a few problems that I have. I am running W7 64 bit with a windows experience index of 5.9. I am scoring 5.9 in memory and HDD. My 1st question is regarding the HDD (Seagate 1TB) each time I click to open a file it will start running, so there is a delay, is there any way to remove this "delay"

2nd I have a Kingston 8gig Flash that I cannot copy to at a normal speed, it only runs at about 5-6 mb. My other 2gig copies at a normal 20mb

3rd - I have 2 2gig DDR 800 ram sticks in, but in Bios they only run at 667. If I change it up to 800, then the PC will not start. It does not even post just continually restarts, any ideas?

    1. If you start a disk from a rest state, then there needs to be a delay to speed it up to the prescribed RPMs. It could also be caused by the required arm movement. That is one of the disadvantages of very big HDDs. I don't think there is much you can do about it other than keeping the disk busy all the time - which is probably not desirable.

    2. Check the speed of the flash drive with HD Tune website I suspect it is a slow model. Not all flash drives are equal. There can be very big differences.

    3. I would say that your mobo does not support 800 - but that can only be confirmed if you post the model of your mobo.

    Hi there

Checked the speed on both my Flash drives, the 8 gig has a minimum of 17mb/s and the 2gig 20mb/s. But both copy at most 5mb/s, anu ideas?
