just wondering what are the differences between these 2 enclosures? i can only notice the design, dimension and price?

for those wondering in future posts..

i emailed vantec and they said the difference is the chipsets then i asked whats the difference and they replied with..

There are no different between these two chipssets and we just use two different manufacturers.

im picking one up within the week :P

I also have 2 of the USB 2.0 enclosures,.. I love 'em,... and I can't find any differences between the two you cited other than case design. I like the rounded ones a bit better.

Also, depending on your particular circumstances, this site, Vantec NST-310S3-BK NexStar CX Hard Drive Enclosure - 3.5 SATA to USB 3.0 at TigerDirect.com , has the same enclosure for $10 less,...

@ corelogik - yeah i can get that for $39 too, just the other site that has it for $39 only has prices and no info on their website but thanks for heads up :)

little more info..

both are stackable but i read that the the CX is a little more slippery than the other model and the NST-380S3 may give slightly cooler HDD temps

oh may i mention im getting the Vantec NexStar 3.5'' USB 3.0 Enclosure NST-380S3 one. i got it for $30 Canadian :P

goign to put a 1tetabyte sata 3 in it.... i know... but even if it has a sata 3 connector it would not get any faster, i mean a hard disk can only go so fast :)
