    DVD drive software

Does anyone know where I can find the latest software for a

    TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633M ATA Device

    cd drive

I'm trying to burn a CD but imgburn says no devices detected and in device manager it says

A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)

    Cheers

    This might help:
    Automatically Update Tsstcorp Drivers

Worth having a look but I don't know if there is a charge for the service!
Completing your system specs might help us more!

Thanks but it does want to charge me. I can't find anything useful about this driver on the internet.

tried uninstalling in device manager then restart but doesn't find it.

This drive doesn't happen to be in a hp laptop by any chance? Good luck getting a firmware update from them then, lol.

It seems many people are having trouble with that drive - something about ahci driver compatibility was mentioned on a couple of forums.

Just a hint - you can sometimes find hard to get toshiba drivers from some of their asian sites. Takes a bit of searching though.

serialata.org lists that drive as equivalent (I think) to the samsung SN-S083M. Maybe searching for that will get you somewhere. Be careful flashing "off-brand" f/w though.

I asked on the HP forums and one guy was helping me.

TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633M ATA drivers needed - HP Support Forum

I'm going to try and borrow a drive off someone. Although it seems I have to take the whole laptop apart to take it out, it doesn't just pop out

Good luck with that me. lol

And yes it's an HP one lol

I guess flashing it with samsung can't do any more harm if I'm going to have to replace it anyway
