D drive almost full...don't know how to fix this

Hey all! My D drive is at 1.14 GB free of 12.47 GB. I think this is due to backups for restore taking up space. But I can't remember how to change this. This is probably a dumb question but I just draw a blank when I try to figure out how to fix it.

Thanks in advance for help and I greatly appreciate it!

Christy

Christy I would leave it alone and use as a restore area.
Use your main hard drive to play with. IMHO

Try deleting any old backup from the D Drive. It should free up some space. Also, run disk cleanup and it will try to free some more disk space.

If it won't cause problems then this "fix" is easy! I don't use D for anything..I just noticed it when I was looking for a file.

I ran disk cleanup earlier and the only thing it gave me to clean was 0 Mb in Recycle Bin. So in other words, there was nothing to clean.

I can't remember how to "Try deleting any old backup from the D Drive."

Thanks!

Simply select the backup you wish to delete and press Shift+Delete button on your keyboard.

Is this a laptop?
Is the D: drive the Laptop's recovery partition? Or one you created?

TVeblen-

This is not a laptop. It's a HP TouchSmart 300. I believe D is the Recovery. It actually says: FACTORY_IMAGE (D
