Driver manager goes empty and wlan/bluetooth is off

    Hi,

I am having a hp dm1 1016tu laptop with windows 7 home premium. It was working perfectly for almost 7 months.

Yrsterday there were some updates downloaded and I shutdown properly after installing those updates. Today when I started my machine it says "configuring windows...." it took around 10 minutes and successfully logged in. But my wlan and my bluetooth is in off. When I open my hp wireless assistant it says that windows has disabled your wlan and Bluetooth. Then I went to my device manager to enable those. Here only the surprise starts. My device manager screen is blank.

I srarted searching for solutions and end up with restore is only option to this. But unfortunately I disabled the backup and restore option so there is no restore points available for restore. Hp recovery assistant (f11) is also not available.

I also don't have the windows 7 cd because it came with the laptop.

    Any solutions are welcome...
