Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter

Hello everyone, i have a problem with hard drive. I tried to add 1TB HDD from my old pc to new one as a second hard drive, ive connected everything and tried to boot my pc. I got this message "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER". I checked in bios and it didn't find my hard drive, then i unpluged all my hard drives and put old hdd from my old pc with windows 7 and it worked, but of course i got bsod. Now even my first hard drive doesn't work i get the same message. Can anyone help me ?

Have you switched the jumper settings on the old one to slave?

Be sure that old drive is second in the boot chain. Take a look at bios settings. Physically connect as second in the chain.

Perhaps the words old and new are confusing me.

At one time you had a drive in the computer and all was ok.
Later you added a second drive and now nothing works.

If that is true, then remove the second drive.
Does the system function correctly now?

Set jumper correctly to be master. Connect to correct cable/cable connector.

What type of DVD/CD drive are you using PATA or SATA?
