Windows 7 - Aero Buzz

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)

Aero Buzz

With Aero enabled on my Windows 7 machine I get an annoying buzzing noise that sounds like electrical interference. Aero seems to be causing static interference between my monitor & speakers. The higher the brightness setting and speaker volume the louder the noise gets

When using a basic non-Aero theme there is no interference. Had the same monitor and speaker set-up on my old WinXP system and never had this issue.
Edit: The buzzing noise comes through the speakers.

Its probably a driver issue. re-install audio, and video drivers. Of course check cables, etc

Never had this issue before probably because the GPU was never being used to its fullest extent when using XP or a non-Aero theme. Aero itself runs directly on the GPU everything else is done on the CPU. There is probably something going on with the graphics card once it is actually being used. This is the same computer you had with Windows XP? Monitor and speaks are meaningless.

No, this is a new system. Cables were the first thing i checked. Already updated to latest 260.63beta Nvidia drivers.

It wouldn't be cables. If I had to guess the source of the problem is inside the case. Have a sound card or built onto the motherboard? Just verifying if your specs are accurate for this computer.

The cables bit was in response to the comment before yours. Standard built-in Realtek audio.
All listed specs are for my current and only Windows 7 computer.

More info:
My audio driver is Realtek 6.00.0001.6167
Ran the DirectX Diagnostic tool, everything checked out OK
I'm running DirectX11. Only get scores of 5.9 & 5.6 in WEI for Graphics & Gaming Graphics respectively. Thought a GeForce 9800 would get a bit higher scores (especially 5.6 for gaming graphics, my lowest score in WEI) even though it's last gen.
