Windows 7: Battery always showing 100% remaining even if it's fully charged

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

the battery charges normally when it's laptop works when i unplug the ac,until the battery discharges.i guess it has nothing to do with the battery and the ac.the only sign that there's something wrong is this icon which shows "100% remaining" instead of "plugged in,fully charged" or whatever.

i have seen this with hp laptops, one suggestion i have seen is to power down the laptop (switch it off not sleep or hibernate) then remove the battery, then turn it on without the battery, wait till it gets to the desktop, then turn it off and plug the battery back in. I have had a problem with the battery gadget showing plugged in not charging, but not your specific problem. I might suggest that you try to get another charger to see if you have the same problem, it could be yours is working enough to charge the battery, but not at correct specs.

Battery Not Being Charged ("plugged in, not charging")
So I've had this laptop (Toshiba Satellite C650-01V) since 2010 I think (I had it since I started university), and around early this month I've been having problems with my battery: it's not being charged. There's a message that says "plugged in, not charging", and I've tried multiple ways in...

Laptop won't boot fully after battery drain
My parents were redoing my "office"/mancave, and they unplugged my laptop from the surge protector I was using, and plugged it into a different one, which apparently cut off the power going to my laptop. So my battery ran down to nothing, and my computer shut itself off. Now, I'm on a different...
