so is this 6 sata 2 and 2 sata 3 is that what Sthis means ATA 3Gb/s x8 SATA 6Gb/s x2?

It has 8 connections that support SATA 3 GBs
It has 2 connections that support SATA 6 GBs
It has 1 connection that supports ATA (ide) with up to 2 devices.
