RAID 1

For years I have 2 Hard Drive and on each drive I say 100 Gigs for my C:\ and on the 2nd Hard Drive I have a partition of 100 Gigs of emtpy space in case I lose my C:\ I can just image my C:\ from my backup to my 2nd Hard Drive and I'm back up an running in less than an hour. But I think I'm stupid for doing that. Why not do a mirror on each of the 100 Gigs?
