Not to worry. With hyper-threading enabled, one would expect to see 8 on a quad processor.

When looking at a CPU, there are two key terms as far as number of cores. There is the number of physical processors, which on the i7 is 4 and there is the number of logical processors (or threads) and the i7 has 8 of those. For every physical processor on a hyper-threaded CPU, you will see two logical processors. So if you had a 980X 6-core, you'd see 12 logical processors, and thus anything that looks at logical processors such as Device Manager or Task Manager will see it as having that many.

Okay, now my question is: Can you run a 64-bit OS on 2-32 bit processors? Note: i don't want to try this, but in theory it should work if the OS can address both processors as 1 64 bit processor, correct?
