SATA hard drive form XP is not recognized by Win 7

    Hello
I recently changed my media playing computer from an old Pentium 4 ruining XP, to a modern slim HP computer with Win 7.
Because much all of my data was stored on one SATA hard drive, I removed it and placed it in my new machine.
after a short time messing about I was able to "import" the disk to the Win 7 OS.
one of the things I tried was setting the new HD to offline and than back to online.
The current problem I am facing began after installing new nVidia drivers, the HD is listed as "invalid" in the disk manege screen and I am unable to do anything with it

    any suggestion
should I try and re install drivers? it is listed as "working properly"
will the disk be recognized in XP?

Hi Ariel and welcome to SevenForums,

please post a snapshot of your disk managment output.

HOW TO POST A SNAPSHOT OF DISK MANAGEMENT DISPLAY

    Run disk management:
    WIN | type DISKMGMT.MSC | ENTER
WIN is the key with the wavy flag.

Maximize the output of Disk Management:
ALT Spacebar key combo | X key
Drag the field separators (such as between Status and Capacity) to show entire field.

    Make a snapshot:
WIN | type SNIPPING | ENTER
    Click the New button.
Drag the cursor around the area you want to snip.
File | Save as | select save location and name | Save button

    Post the snapshot:

    Ariel,

Being honest, the quality is not sufficient.

Any reason why you can't use the Snipping tool (Win | type SNIPP |ENTER) ?
