Two CD/DVD roms - AutoPlay/launch seperate software for audio CD's Is it possible to configure Windows 7 to automagically launch and play audio in, e.g WMP if audio CD is inserted in CD rom A, and iTunes if audio CD is inserted in CD rom B? | My System Specs |

No, I believe that the association is with the disc type, not with the drive letter.
Though your question raises my question: Why do you want to use two different media players? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Pugh Technologies OS W7 Professional x64 CPU AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.10 GHz Motherboard MSI 870A-G54 Memory PNY XLR DDR3 1600 4x2GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (fermi) 1GB GDDR5 Sound Card Realtek ALC892 onboard Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VE205t, Viewsonic VX2035WM Screen Resolution 1600x900, 1600x1050 Keyboard Logitec 55 Mouse Razer Deathadder PSU Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Case ThermalTake Armor A90 Mid Tower Cooling 3x 120mm in, 1x 120mm & 200mm out, self built hydro-cooler Hard Drives 977GB Hitachi Hitachi HDS721010CLA332

I thought it may be doable with task scheduler but I could not find any options for it. You may be able to find a 3rd party program to do that but with whats its asking more than likely it will not be free. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number SMN-Productions OS Windows 7 x86/x64, Server 2008r2, Web Server 2008 CPU i7 v2 3930K Steping stone 2 Motherboard ASUS Rampage IV Extreme Memory G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB Graphics Card AMD HD 5770 Monitor(s) Displays Acer 21" and Samsung 20" Keyboard Black Widow Ultimate PSU 1000 Watt Case HAF-X Cooling 4 Fans Hard Drives Patriot Pyro 80GB |

surely if the drives are set to always ask ,then the autoplay will give you the option as to whichever player to use. its not the same as it running automatically but hey! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Hewlett packard/p6512uk OS Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7600 CPU IIx4 amd athelon 635 processor Motherboard FOXCONN 2AA9 Memory 2x2gb Graphics Card ati radeon HD 5450 Sound Card (1) Realtek High Definition Audio (2) AMD High Definition Monitor(s) Displays samsung lcd tv 32" Screen Resolution 1360x 768 Keyboard wireless hp Mouse wireless Hp,optical PSU ? To do so I simply assosiates iTunes with one audio output that is not the default output. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit |

That's awesome.
Unfortunately, I think you will have to use boohbah's method. It's one extra step, but it will achieve what you want it to. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Pugh Technologies OS W7 Professional x64 CPU AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.10 GHz Motherboard MSI 870A-G54 Memory PNY XLR DDR3 1600 4x2GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (fermi) 1GB GDDR5 Sound Card Realtek ALC892 onboard Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VE205t, Viewsonic VX2035WM Screen Resolution 1600x900, 1600x1050 Keyboard Logitec 55 Mouse Razer Deathadder PSU Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Case ThermalTake Armor A90 Mid Tower Cooling 3x 120mm in, 1x 120mm & 200mm out, self built hydro-cooler Hard Drives 977GB Hitachi Hitachi HDS721010CLA332

Is "always ask" the only way to go here?
Surely there must be a way to manipulate Windows for this.
I don't have the skills to to so, but I should think that it's possible to write a script that could do this.
Anyone? | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit |

Im sorry, that comment did seem rude.
I did not mean for it to be.
Ummm,
I know there are several companies that create programs for internal use and release them for purchase I would tunnel through your favorite search engine of choice and maybe you can find something...
Another option which would be a huge pain is to take each cd. and create an autorun file for each of them and burn them to a new disk.... but it would function :S | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number SMN-Productions OS Windows 7 x86/x64, Server 2008r2, Web Server 2008 CPU i7 v2 3930K Steping stone 2 Motherboard ASUS Rampage IV Extreme Memory G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB Graphics Card AMD HD 5770 Monitor(s) Displays Acer 21" and Samsung 20" Keyboard Black Widow Ultimate PSU 1000 Watt Case HAF-X Cooling 4 Fans Hard Drives Patriot Pyro 80GB Two CD/DVD roms - AutoPlay/launch seperate software for audio CD's problems?
