HP PSC 950 printer not printing properly

Please can someone help. I have the HP PSC 950 printer on windows 7 ultimate x64. Everytime i print a (word) document each page only has half the text on it and if the doc has say 6 pages the first 2 will print (incomplete) and then it will go into error. When i restart; the process just repeats if i get lucky on one print a page might come out complete. I am wasting so much paper. I feel its something to do with the os as on a different computer with a different os the printer was fine. Having looked on the HP website for the latest driver it says windows update will automatically update for ultimate x64 so i assume its the latest.

    Please help me

I suppose you found this page and followed the steps.

If not try this first and let us know.

    Hi Mike,

Followed the steps to install driver. turned printer off, took out usb, turned back on, put usb back in and no windows update window came up. Searched windows update nothing came up only 3 optional updates irrelevant to printer. Windows update is already configured to automatically search for updated drivers. Think i have already tried this link beforehand.

    Thanks for your help

    Microsoft Update Catalog

Open this above link in a new tab. It is the driver at the top of the page.
Bookmark the page and you can search for other updates in the Search bar in the top right of the page at another time if needed.

Old but it says it is for Win 7.

Microsoft driver update for HP PSC 950 Windows 7 Drivers (Printers) 6/21/2006 6.1.7233.0 11.4 MB 11997924

    Hope that helps
