    Computer Case help?

Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy a new computer case tomorrow for my PC because I'm getting worried by all the clutter. Everything is too close for comfort. Lol. Now I've heard that the most "scary", or worrisome, thing is taking out the mobo itself because of the static and all. Um, I'm in need of some Windows 7 Jedi guidance from you guys. Tell me what you guys need so I can post my specs so you can help me out further. Thanks.

If you are worried about the static when you buy/order your new case pick up a 2-5 dollar static wristband. they connect to your wrist then ground to the pc :)

My current case is the antec 900 version 1...
I am not sure were your computer will be but one thing I will say while fan lights are pretty cool looking make sure you can position the case were they will not be facing your bed all night long...

Another thing you want to look for is good airflow and possibility of cable management. (My case is horriblefor that) what you are looking for in that is air moving from the lower regions of the case across the board and out the back.

I work with computers all day long and have built computers for many years...and I can honestly say that I have taken no steps whatsoever to protect against static electricity other than touching something metal before I start working and touching some part of the case itself.

With respect to cases, there are a ton of cases out there. Budget is likely the biggest determining factor to what you get. Cases can range from $20 to $800...with many cases between $100 and $300. I look for something that has room to work in it, is a tool free design and something that provides AIR FILTERS to keep the dust and dirt from getting inside of the computer all over the fans and leading to overheating and cooling issues down the road. Personally, I have used Antec cases in the past (Sonata II's, P182, 300's) and have been happy with all of them.
