    i790 CPU normal temp range

Hello! I recently installed a new mobo and i790 CPU. Everything is set to "Auto" and "Default" in the BIOS - no overclocking or experimenting. I'm using Core Temp to monitor the CPU temperature and I'm seeing a range of 49c-60c. Right now just doing email and browsing it's 52c. Does this seem about right? It's about 10c higher then I was seeing with the Athlon II x4 620 so I wanted to check. TIA

From what I've been able to find out, this is within the normal operating temperature range of that CPU.

I have the i7 950,and it ran about 45c,so its fine, but you can put a cpu cooler on it,it doesn't even have to be a fancy one.I got a relative plain one "Antec Venom cpu cooler" and just removed the fan that came with it and i put 2 fans of cooler masters 2000rpm's on,now my cpu reads 26c,thats allot less and didn't cost allot at all.
