    Six core?

Hey :) I'm considering building a new rig with a Asus M4A87TD Evo. When it came to looking for a CPU I was planning on going for the AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 970 Black Edition 3.50GHz processor - but I noticed for only an extra £10 I could get the AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1055T 2.80GHz. Which one do you think I should go for (if I build this) - the idea of 6 cores appeals to me but for more power am I better with 2.8ghz x6 or 3.5ghz x4 ?
    Help appreciated

Definitely the quad core. It is a lot faster and there will be few programs that can make use of the 6 cores.

Thanks a lot :) Will leave 6-core for now - maybe in a couple of years it will be a lot faster
