If you have another mouse you could plug that in and navigate to the start menu and type into the search bar DEVICE MANAGER click on the option that says DEVICE MANAGER navigate to MICE double click your Mouse and hit update driver.
This should hopefully work
do you mean erratic? Erotic is a totally different issue.
I do so think you mean erratic my friend, as I highly doubt your mouse is fostering adult situations....nevermind. Don't wanna know.
Clean the bottom of it.
Change the battery if it's cordless.
Check the USB/bluetooth sensor if it's cordless to see if it's loose.
Make sure the surface you are using it on is flat and non-refractive.
Install the latest drivers for your mouse from the manufacturers website if the update in device manager doesn't seem to work.
Good luck!
I guess SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker will fix your problem . Once I also had such a trouble .... but it was not erotic at all for me
Two possible causes.
You mouse roller is dirty. So the dirt causes your roller sensors to go haywire when your mouse ball is rolling in another direction.
Your registry key is corrupt. Use System Restore. If that doesn't solve the problem, try fixing the registry keys or do a reformat.
You had my attention at "erotic". Freudian slip, perhaps. hehe.
If you're using an optical mouse, make sure the bottom is clean. If you're using a ball, remove and clean the ball, blowing out any dust in the mouse.
Also, change your battery if you have an optical or wireless mouse.
Speaking of wireless, make sure the wireless access and the mouse are close, with nothing obstructing them.
