Looking for an app to change partition

Something similar and as powerful and reliable as Partition Magic.

I tested EASEUS Partition Master free edition but it says my first HDD is a dynamic disk so it can not do any operation on it. Besides I heard converting to basic disk would delete all my data!!! DO NOT WANT.

Does it have a UI or command line only?

I don't think Gparted can convert dynamic to basic without data loss - can it?

If you can find the older version of the free Partition Wizard - you're in luck .

Partition Wizard 4.2 is the one.

It is like booting into a GUI Linux but you only have limited options.

I've been using Partition Wizard for a long time now.
It's Free and it just works.
You can also create a bootable CD (recommended) if you like.

You can get it here: BEST FREE Partition Manager Software for Windows supports all 32-bit & 64 bit Windows No-server OS.

    Compare Editions Partition Wizard

The free version can not convert dynamic to basic without data loss

Can you make a backup image first? Convert the partition, then restore from the image?

you cannot convert a dynamic disk back to basic without reformatting as a basic disk, and this action will erase all data .......

the simplest way is back up your files then convert your disk and then reinstate your files to your newly created basic disks

    Ummmm.

    Doesn't anybody read the posts?

You can convert a simple dynamic disk without data loss.

You can do it with a free app.

If you can find the older version of the free Partition Wizard - you're in luck .

Partition Wizard 4.2 is the one.
If you search this forum - you will find it.
