    Intel i7 990x - a lot of performance

From what we managed to learn, the i7-990X is based on a new stepping of Intel's 32nm Gulftown core consisted out of six cores and additional six threads. The clock is upped from 3.33GHz to 3.46GHz, while the Turbo mode ticking at 3.6GHz. According to preliminary results we have received, you should have no problems in clocking this past 4.5GHz on air, and 5GHz on water.

But apparently the shipment date is delayed to 2011. Rumor has it that they will present it at the CES Vegas fair in January.

The article says it's "Gulftown" so I assume that means 1366. I'm still wondering why they'd release another 1366 processor with Sandy Bridge coming out... although I've still yet to see what I'd consider a good Sandy Bridge Gulftown replacement with triple channel memory.
