LiteOn DVD RW

My LiteOn DVD burner is reading my DVD+R's as DVD-RW's for some reason. Could anyone here elaborate on why this is happening? Its out of warranty and I cant afford a new one.

What model liteOn is it and what is the firmware on it. What burning software are you using.

iHap 322 with default firmware. I did not upgrade the firmware due to the fact that my 422 was doing the same thing after the upgrade.

I use convertxtodvd and daemon tools.

At first I thought it was the dvd+r's were bad until i hooked up a 16x dvd burner and they work fine in it.

Are they blank unused DVD-R's that show up as DVD-RW's?

The key words being "blank unused". I was just thinking if they were multi session it might make windows think they were RW disks instead of R.

Well i dont think you can have a blank used DVD+R...if something was on a DVD+R then Windows would ask me if i wanted to view files not burn a DVD. Daemon Tools and Convertxtodvd is reading the DVD+R's as DVD-RW's which in turn I do not use. This is a recent error. And you guys are not being of any help.

You might want to chill out there dude. We don't get paid for this you know. We're just enthusiasts who are volunteering some of our free time trying to help others. I'm sorry you're having problems and you're probably frustrated, but you don't need to take it out on us.
