What is better for me? 32 or 64 bit

    Hello,

Can you please advice me, should I use windows 7 32 or 64 bit?
    I have the following:

    Intel Core i5 650 @ 3.20GHz
    3.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3
    NVIDIA GeForce 210
    625GB SATA

    Best Regards.

Use x64 if you plan to add more RAM in the future, this will avoid you to install x64 later

You wont get the best benefit of a 64 bit OS unless you have (want to have) over 4 GB RAM...

A 32 bit OS cannot see or use more that 4 total GB, where a 64 bit can!

32 bit is the past, 64 bit is now, 128 bit on the horizon!

+1 on 64 bit. You should find all the drivers easily for W7 64bit as well, unlike the issues I had with XP 64bit.

Yes it work with 3 GB, but when you do decide to add ram make sure you add the same kind as you have now. You can go to several sites such as Crucial and download their upgrade advisor, it will tell you what you have and give you options as to what you may want to add.

i would say x64, but run the upgrade advisor to make sure all your hardware is compatible.

Since you have 3 GB of DDR3 now you probably have 3 slots filled and 3 left open on your mobo... just save up at a later time and buy 3 matched sticks. The good news is RAM keeps getting faster and less expensive!

By the way, please fill in your system specs.
