Onboard vs Win 7 RAID 1

Hi

Been looking around and decided just to ask directly. What is the better option in terms of performance and future proofing (reinstalling windows or upgrading hardware) for a RAID 1 Array; Windows or an onboard MB controller? I have 2 WD 1.5TB drives i am going to be using for data only not the OS. My motherboard is a Asus Crosshair III Formula

Thanks

If I understand your question properly, hardware RAID is much better on performance than software RAID. I have an ASUS P6X58D-Premium motherboard and I have two RAID-1 setups.
