excessive interrupts

Hi everyone. I am experiencing significant slowness on my laptop and I was hoping someone could help. Here is the rundown:
  1. Toshiba L305D laptop, 3MB RAM, win7 x64
  2. Came preloaded with vista 2years ago and worked fine.
  3. recently reformatted and loaded win7 enterprise x64
  4. experienced a few BSODs but got those fixed with the help of the folks over in the crashes and debugging forum. Thanks to Wish & Carl It turned out to be some out of date drivers.
  5. Also was experiencing slowness.
  6. Perfmon shows interrupts are coming in at 3k to 30k per second. This is much higher than any of my other machines.
  7. loaded xperf and ran it for about three minutes with no other programs running and got the reports out of it. However, I'm not really sure how to interpret it. Am I more concerned with the DCP usage or the Interrupt usage?
Here are some screen dumps from the reports. Anybody have an idea on what might be amiss here?

Excessive Hardware Interrupts
I have a Dell Workstation (Optiplex 760) with a fresh install of Windows 7. Right from the get go, I noticed that the second core is running around 20-30%. Taskmgr is not that helpful so I installed Process Explorer. While reviewing the cpu information, Hardware Interrupts bounces between 20 and...

excessive cpu usage
Roughly 1 hour after rebooting, with nothing running besides MSN, xfire, and mozilla, my CPU utilization goes to 78-90% with no let down. AMD Phenom X4 9550 w/ 6gb ram, nvidia 9500, install is 2 days old. This is very disappointing because it means that even youtube videos hitch, and games get...
