bluetooth mouse problems

ive got an asus g73jh(bluetooth built in) computer and a microsoft bluetooth 5000 notebook mouse and for some reason i cant get the mouse paired with the computer. ive had it installed before but reinstalled windows now i cant get it working again. when i first tried to reinstall the mouse it kept asking for a pairing code and didnt give me an option to not use pairing code. it wont detect the mouse when trying to add a new device but shows up in device manager. ive tried to remove the device through device manager but it always seems to reinstall and i cant get it paired up again. can anyone help with this. ive been googling for a few hours and cant find anything relevant to my problem.
