    Can't access the DVD-R

    Hi
I have a Pavilion dm4 laptop and I'm trying to access pictures , from a TDK DVD-R disk which I used in the Sony DCR-DVD605 camera , without using the usb cable = thrying to copy them derectly from the disk , but the computer doesn't see any pictures on the disk , the camera sees them though , the computer can see the disk it self but no data on it.
So if anyone can help me with this prob . I would be very glad.
    THX
I asked this Q on yahoo answer and someone told me that I need the software of the camera - I dont know what's the connection between the blank disk in the laptop and the camera though

How did you burn the files to disc? What file extension? This is a DVD drive that supports +/- R, right?

freezman, Welcome to SF. I would leave the disk in the camera and then connect the camera via it's usb provided cable. This may require you to load software provided with the camera or it may not? Worst case you can try going to Sony and search for the drivers/software off the support site. I tried but the site didn't see this model.

Should be a standard usb cable which likely you have many of or possibly a mini usb and I would order it.

What happens when you place a blank TDK disk in the drive?
