Hello,

is there a way to allow non admin users to install usb flash disks?

If the flash disks require a software. Install the software as an admin and they should be able to Plug and play.

That's just the goal to avoid that. We have about 500 users here and I'm just alone to do the support for all of them. I just seek a way to allow them to do this without needing them to give admin rights.

Hello Jvuz,

You might see if this tutorial or the related tutorial links at the bottom may be able to help you with this.

Removable Hard Disk Drives - Allow or Deny Read and Write Access - Vista Forums


If the issue is installing a program to allow them to, then you may be able to use AppLocker to create a rule to be able to allow the Users group to run the installation file.
