I recently bought a new Dell XPS 15 and I had all my files from my MacBook on a 500GB WD hard drive. I hook the hard drive up to my computer via USB 2.0 port and the hard drive doesn't show up on My Computer. I can't access it at all.
What's going on? The Device Manager shows that it's there, but it appears nowhere else and I can't access it.
My brother is having the same problem with a Toshiba external hard drive and his Dell Inspiron 14R with Windows 7 Home Premium. The Device Manager shows it's there, but he can't access the hard drive or any of the files on it. What's going on?
