I've just filledup my ink tooners today,I've tryed something to print,and ...is printing only in the pink color.
I've selected the color in the MS Wrod Doc.but is still the same,pink,even photos are pink when I print them.
I have HP Deskjet D1400 with the ink tooner HP 21 BLACK AND HP 22 Color.
If you filled up your cartridges, as your post suggests, you may have ruined the cartridges, or the print heads. Those refill kits are the quickest way towards buying a new printer. I used to work for one of the largest print manufacturers in the world, and I'll tell you honestly, those refill kits should be avoided at all costs.
Now, you can try cleaning the print heads over and over again through your printer's utility section....but if that doesn't start to show progress, then I'd go buy a set of real cartridges and try them.
Cartridge cleaning tip:
Get a coffee cup and fill with water
heat in microwave for 2.5 minutes
submerse ink cartridge in water for 15 to 30 seconds, only covering copper contacts
remove from water, lightly pat dry with paper towel (very lightly)
reinstall in printer and print test page
The hot water will loosen and dissolve ink blockages.
Even after using certified canon refill ink (I used to refill my cartridges myself), after several months, I discover that black printed as red. Apparently something something about the print head. Cleaing or unglodding the heads with warm water helped once or twice, but eventually the heads themselves had to be replaced, which would have cost more than the printer itself did.
Still, I got a good 4 years or so service out of the printer usng the original cartridges that it came supplied with, so it wasn't all that bad having to spend R1000 for a new printer.
Although if the manufacturers will get off their rear ends and start making ink prices cheaper, then we wouldn't need refill kits, now would we?
My brother found a deal at Buy.com awhile back Hp printers for $50 so he just bought 3 of them, that's the same price as ink so when they run out of ink he just throws them away and uses a new printer
A lot of people are doing that, and as a result, most new printers now come with a starter ink cartridge or starter toner cartridge. They are about half the size or less, in terms of how much ink is in them, of a regular full cartridge. Too many (working) printers ending up in the landfill I guess. I have an all in one so I'll likely just buy new ink cartridges until it fails.
