Windows 7: Partition problem

First let's get some information, with both RAM cards installed, download CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.

Take out the RAM card that won't run memtest86+ and see if you have any freezes.

I already tried and the freezing issue are still there...

Don't see anything unusual in the CPUZ snips.

You can't adjust any setting in an OEM laptop, so there is not much you can do.

Can you arrange to test other PC2-4300 266MHz RAM in your computer or your RAM in another laptop?
It would probably cost more for a shop to test it then it would to buy new RAM and hope that solves the freezing.
A quick check on Newegg, 2 X 1GB DDR2 RAM is about $40.

Wish there was more we could do with it, only way to test it is as mentioned above.

I don't have another laptop for testing the ram. I could buy new ram.

In your opinion, could the motherboard be the problem or you're sure it's a defect ram ?

The possibilities are RAM, motherboard RAM slots, motherboard NB-memory controller, power supply (not common for laptops), these are the most likely causes.

Out of these, RAM is the most likely culprit.

I bought new ram and i got the same "512k e820 off" error with memtest86+

I will see if the laptop is freezing again with the new ram...

I got 1 freeze in two days... He look better with this ram btw...
