    hp 1280 printer


    Hi All,
    Can anyone point me in the right direction with regard to the installation of my HP1280 printer which worked absolutely OK on XP.
    I have downloaded driver updates, but my new Win7 64 doesn't see it as connected.

    I would point out that I am a bit of a "luddite" when it comes to computers and this forced change to Win 7 has come as a bit of a shock.

    Thanks for any help in this.

    Hi cooperman, welcome to the forums, install the software first ,then connect the USB cable when told to do so HPs' are particulary prone to this type of installation ,software first cable last , you may have to uninstall and reinstall the software :)
