    Need help enabling the touchpad

I have a new Dell inspiron 14R with Windows 7. Somehow I disabled the touchpad and I'm not sure how to undo it. I saw a little box pop up on the right hand side of the screen that said the touchpad was now disabled. I wasn't doing anything different at the time and I was not using a wireless mouse. I've restarted the computer and its still locked. Can anyone help me?

    Hi

If you go to your control panel and goto hardware and sound and select mouse you will find your touch pad there.

The tab may be under device settings or some other name.

There you should find a way to enable it.

    Welcome to the forum,

See if this helps you with that, it says you need an external mouse to do this.

Maybe someone will come along with a better answer for you.

on your keyboard will be a key with Fn on it if you press this key and maybe F8 at the same time it will enable touchpad or a combination of Fn and another f number ,it may even have a symbol on the key which shows touchpad icon, good luck
