| | SSD trim question Trim is apparently executed once a file is truly deleted (not just recycle bin). What happens when a complete partition is restored (disk image – example Acronis). Since this process is done outside Windows 7, is the trim command still executed by Windows 7 once the partition is restored ? Since a partition restoration can be a fairly massive write process, this could have a significant impact on SSD performance if the process is ignored in the "trim process". Any thoughts? |
