I want to transfer some files from my BlackBerry phone to my PC via Bluetooth. I've read that in Windows 7 the Bluetooth option is supposed to be in the control panel somewhere, but I didn't see anything. Anyone knows where it is and how to enable it?

I doubt it will show until you plug a Bluetooth hardware item in.
A bit like an external hard drive.
Capability is there when enabled but won't show until it is plugged in.

From what i understand you enable Bluetooth in services.msc Once enabled you then turn bluetooth of the device your trying to connect on. Once done you navigate to Start Control panel add a device. Let it search for the device.
Also there is a bluetooth application in your System32 folder called fsquirt.exe

Also i do believe you must have a bluetooth dongle attached to the computer. Just because windows 7 has the bluetooth option doesn't mean it has the hardware to support such a thing. Your motherboard would need that built in :) SO I do believe you must use a dongle (bluetooth adapter)

Your specs don't say if this is an OEM computer or self built. You may need specific drivers if you have a Dell or other maker.
I've bought a dongle, but whatever I do doesn't help. I've connected it, tried to search for my phone but nothing happened. I even have installed the drivers disc that came with the dongle and it installed some Bluetooth program or something with which I was able to find my phone and pair it with the computer, but still couldn't transfer any file.
I don't know if it's a problem with Windows 7, my BlackBerry or maybe with the dongle(appears to be from some chinese company...).
Any solutions?
