Wireless network "media disconnected"

Ok, so i have an alienware M15X laptop. I know the alienware OS has alot of extra junk that comes along so i reformatted into a plain windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I was in the process of getting everything ready to go for gaming when i tried i connect wirelessly to my apartment's router. I have 2 other roommates and sometimes they get loud so i keep my setup in my room, which is nigh on 3 feet away through a wall, where i had no problem seeing the router and all of my neighbors routers. I was most of the way downloading drivers and for some reason i saw that i had a yellow ! triangle on my "Network Controller" in my device manager. The weird thing is that i have no trouble at all with internet connection with an ethernet cable, but i can't even see networks that could be available. I've tried downloading the drivers 100 times and nothing seems to help. Windows will not find it on its own online, and i'm going to go insane if i cannot use my WIFI connection. Next thing i did was checked the status of my Ethernet adapter and bluetooth network connection. My ethernet adapter says "Local Area Connection | Intel(R) 82577LC Gigabit Network Connection | Media Disconnected" When i try to press enable it does nothing, my bluetooth device is doing the same thing. It won't show that the driver's i'm installing are ever there, and i don't know where to go from here. Thank for the help in advance!
