    External Asus WiFi Switch Doesn't Work [FIXED]


    I have an Asus U50F Laptop and the external wireless switch to turn the WiFi on/off isn't working. The splash screen will show up indicating I turned off my WiFi but then nothing happens and I still have a wireless connection.

    I managed to fix this by installing the Asus wireless console 3. Delete this thread please.

    I had the exact same problem. Whether the switch was on or off it would say "wireless lan off". I have no clue why this fixed it but when I hit fn f2, it would say "wireless lan on".

    I believe Fn+F2 disables/enables wireless for your mobo, just like an airplane mode of smartphones. Press it again to test it, there may even be a little icon on the F2 key about wireless.

I bought an asus N76V with the normal windows home premium as operating system. I installed windows 7 ultimate on it, I installed all the drivers and made sure they are up to date. But when I was installing the drivers it said that the card couldn't be found, but I was able to connect to networks....
