Might be shared video. Can you snip a picture of the performance tab of task manager.

    Hello Ashley,

Since you are using a separate graphics card and not a integrated graphics chip that may be included on your motherboard, check your BIOS settings to see if you may have any memory allocated to a integrated graphics chip. You may have to dig around the settings to find one related to this though. If you do, set to be zero to allow Windows 7 to use all of the RAM.

In addition, check using the tutorial below to make sure that you have the Maximum memory box unchecked.

    Hope this helps,

    Ashley,

How did the other suggestion for unchecking the Maximum memory box go?

    Ashley,

When you reboot the computer and it very briefly shows how much RAM you have MBs in the scrolling text, does it show that you have the full 2048 MB?

If not, then reset the BIOS back to default settings, then restart again to see if shows at boot afterwards.

If still not, then you may need to flash the BIOS with a new version (if available) for your specific motherboard/computer model number.
