Looking for a new printer.

I may purchase a printer some day.

I have an Epson C60. The neat thing about this simple printer is that it only takes two ink cartridges and it will print if one runs out of ink. AND it will print standard business envelopes with the paper still in it. Leave the paper (8 1/2 x 11) in feeder and just place an envelope on top of paper to the right and the envelope feeds and prints. No need to take paper out and slide tab just to print one envelope.

I contacted Epson USA and they do not make any printer that does this currently. None of their new current printers has the same features as the C60. None will print an envelope AND leave the paper in feeder/tray.

Anyone know of any printer (inkjet or whatever) that only uses two ink cartridges, can leave paper in feeder/tray and print a single envelope without taking the paper out and uses only two ink cartridges and will still print if one cartridge runs out of ink?

Am I asking too much of a printer in 2010? Am I living in a time warp?

WELL I CURRENTLY HAVE THIS ONE AND IF one cartridge runs out of ink IT WILL STILL WORK.
but i do not know if you have to take out the paper from the tray to prit on an envelope, i guess you always have to do it for every printer.

Check the HP line of printers. I agree with sergio, their Photosmart looks like a good bet. I have an old HP Office Jet (5510) all in one printer-fax-scanner and it can work with one ink cartridge and doesn't require taking the paper out to put in an envelope. Of course HP isn't making this particular model number any more, but I see that they still have similar models.

I ageree with Imperfect1 you can find similar models in stores maybe amazon or ebay might have an specific model not out on stores, brand new.
