    Drive lettering

I have two partitions that don't show up in certain apps (Acronis True Image Home 2011 and the Windows Experience Index dealie being some of them), which is probably due to being named A: and B:. While renaming B: is easy because it's just backed-up data files, A: has most of my applications and my Users folder in it. Is there a simple way to get apps to recognize A:?

Yeah...don't use A or B for hard drives. Those two have been reserved for Floppies... (I use them for my CD drives however.)

At least Installshield/Windows Installer/that kind of stuff recognizes A:.

Logicearth is right. Just rename them in Disk Management. That is a 2 minute operation. The fact that one program recognizes A or B does not mean that it will generally work.

I have a drive lettered B:\ that shows up fine in Acronis 2011 and past versions. That doesn't mean that the lettering is not your problem, however. The best way to find out is, as others suggest, change the letter in disk management and see what happens.
